The University of Oregon women's soccer team dropped its home opener on Friday, falling 1-0 to Gonzaga in front of 501 fans in the first night game at Pape Field.

Heidi Jacobson won the game for the Bulldogs in the second half after taking a pass from Annie Hawkins and converting at the 48:28 mark.

Hawkins gained possession midstride and pushed upfield 15 yards, then passed ahead to Jacobson, who dribbled another 15 yards toward the center edge of the box. The freshman forward then drilled a ...
