Tea and China's minority nationalities
The Chinese population is overwhelmingly made up of Han Chinese, who comprise 93 percent of the country's 1.1 billion people. Of the non-Han Chinese the Tibetans, Mongolians and Uighurs or Turkic Moslems of Xinjiang are most conspicuous because their customs, languages and ways of life differ greatly from the Han majority.
