Investors win costly legal battle against real estate developer
Two real estate investors evidently have won a bitter eight-year-long legal war they have waged against developer Alan Casden, president of the Beverly Hills-based Mayer Group Inc.
The investors, Patrick Higashi and James Kozen, alleged in Los Angeles Superior Court that Casden acted deceptively, breached a contract and never compensated them for a two-acre plot of Playa del Rey land they transferre...
