IT IS meant to be the definitive list of the greatest British people ever.

But as I looked down the list, I was immediately struck by the absence of black or Asian people.

How is it possible that not one has been credited with contributing anything to this country?

I mean where was this poll conducted?

Don't tell me, middle Britain.

What a sad indictment of the underlying racism in Britain today...
