AstraN to start drilling first well at North-Astrakhan field in June
ASTRAKHAN. May 23 (Interfax) - AstraN (a joint venture between Astrakhannefteprom and Italy's Agip) plans to start drilling a first deep exploration well at the North Astrakhan field in June 2002, Mario Kafiero, director of the Astrakhan office of Agip Energy said at the summit Caspian 21: from Politics to Business, in Astrakhan on Thursday.
He said that the aim of the well is to "carry out a full evaluation of reserves" at this field.
