Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty to end half century of Czech language broadcasting
Prague July 3 INTERFAX EUROPE - The U.S. financed Prague-based Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) announced that the station plans to stop broadcasting in the Czech language in three months.
RFE/RL, which has been broadcasting in Czech and Slovak since 1951, will by mutual agreement dissolve its partnership with Czech Radio, which provides a frequency for the broadcast.
