Iran proposes to Azerbaijan to supply oil through idle gas pipeline

BAKU. July 11 (Interfax) - Iran has proposed to Azerbaijan to adapt the Iran-USSR gas pipeline, which has been idle for 10 years, as an oil pipeline, an Interfax correspondent reports.

This proposal was announced by Muhammedali Subhanulakhi, governor of the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan, at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev in Baku on Wednesday.
