ANTHONY Rainbow wishes he was "a bit younger, a bit quicker and a bit fitter."

Santa Claus must have heard that one a few times on his way through Kildare in recent months.

But not even the great bearded one can turn back the sands of time.

In truth there are several Kildare players in the same boat. It's not just Rainbow who admits he may only have "another two or three seasons left at best."

And for other Kildare favourites the end may be even closer.
