Jul. 22--It was close to 10 a.m. Friday when Rod Wren eased the Pueblo County tanker truck up to the side of the Pine Drive Water District treatment plant in Beulah with 2,800 gallons of water on board.
The sun was already blazing away over the parched valley and it was clear the drought that dried up the creeks in this mountain community was still broiling.
