The four studios that banded together to push high-definition VHS will release the first wave of titles this week, marking the first time that high-definition prerecorded programming will be available to consumers.
The studios -- Artisan, DreamWorks, Fox and Universal -- will release a second group in the D-VHS platform later in the year, the studios announced in a joint statement.
