INTRODUCTION The purpose of this study was to inventory the occurrence of vertebrate, invertebrate and plant specimens within the basal Fort Union Formation and to plot these occurrences relative to the Hell Creek/Fort Union formation contact. This study was restricted to those sediments lying between the Hell Creek/Fort Union formation contact and the overlying Marmarth Ash/Bentonite.
