Small banks raid staffs of Torrey Pines, La Jolla
As local independent banks branch out across the county, they are casting lines into Torrey Pines Bank and La Jolla Bank & Trust Co. for both clients and employees.
Both banks are planning separate mergers with huge conglomerates, and ever since their plans were announced earlier this year, their workforces have turned into fishing ponds for independent banks.
