The Senate Commerce Committee is expected to schedule a confirmation hearing for U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) member Mary Sheila Gall before the end of July. President Bush nominated her to be chairman of CPSC, a position requiring Senate confirmation, but the committee post-poned a hearing date set for last month after leadership of Senate committees switched from Republican to Democratic control.
