Certegy Inc., a vendor of check risk management services and a merchant card processor, has signed an exclusive deal to provide check risk management and loss prevention services for Staples Inc.'s retail and mail order operations.
Certegy, whose check services division does business with 329,000 retail outlets (excluding Staples), says that its risk management products help boost the profitability of retail check acceptance for merchants. The Staples deal was announced Monday.
