I WAS in Palawan over the weekend to attend the 100th founding anniversary celebrations of the province.
I had mentioned in the course of my address that Palawan has emerged as a byword into the landscape of international and domestic tourism, consistently luring visitors to its many attractions.
Despite the tragic events in one of its resorts last year that dampened tourist arrivals not only in Palawan but throughout the country, Palawan has bounced back and remains one of the veritable crown jewels in our tourism arsenal.
