Caribbean Ceramics Ltd recently completed construction and commissioning of an extruded glazed and unglazed rustic clay tile plant in Longdenville, Trinidad. The capacity is 550,000 sq.m per annum of high quality rustic clay tiles. They operate with their own raw material clay deposits with reserves estimated to be in excess of 100 years:
The project started as a joint venture arrangement with Interkiln Corp. of Houston, Texas. However, due to some unfortunate circumstances the company encountered difficulties and in Feb. 2001 was forced to close for business;
