NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED OFF-ROAD RACE COMING TO IONIA, MICH.
IONIA, Mich., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- A one-of-a-kind off-road race (Great Northern Challenge) is scheduled for Aug. 18-19, noon-5 p.m., rain or shine, at the Ionia Fairgrounds in Ionia. This is one in a series of eight races in the Midwest. Bob Moon of Michigan Off-Road Productions, Inc., promoter of the event, said he expects a spectator crowd of more than 20,000 people.
This type of racing in the Midwest is called "short course off-road racing," and usually consists of a one- to two-mile-long ...
