Jun. 1--BUHL, Idaho--One of the most valuables hides in the world can be found right here in the Magic Valley on the back of a reptile not native to desert life.

Alligator hides are the second most expensive leathers in the world. Only leather made from anteater hides is more expensive.

"They can't raise enough ants to feed 'em, I guess," jokes Leo Ray, who has been raising alligators on his Buhl-area farm since 1994.
