Organic butter hits milestone.(Farming Life)

THE first batch of organic butter ever made in Northern Ireland rolled off the 'production line' at Ballyrashane Co-op on the outskirts of Coleraine this week.

The driving force behind the development was United Irish Organics, the Province's only farmer-owned organic milk business.

"This is undoubtedly a major step forward for the organic sector locally,'' confirmed United Irish Organics managing director, Rex Humphrey.
