Fast, accurate thermal diffusivity, specific heat, and thermal conductivity measurements for a wide range of materials are said to be possible with automated flash diffusivity instruments from Netzsch Instruments Inc., Bedford, Mass. Called the LFA 447 Nanoflash, it can reportedly automatically test multiple samples from room temperature to 200[degrees]C (390[degrees]F).
