New York, Minnesota, Twin Cities propose measures to curtail CFCs
The states of New York and Minnesota, and the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn., now have bills pending to curtail or outlaw the use of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).
The Minneapolis and St. Paul City Councils are considering an ordinance severely curtailing the use of CFCs in both cities - including everything from do-it-yourself repair kits for air conditioners, freezers, and refrigerators, to some party decorations, packaging, and coffee cups.
