BEFORE I went to Korea, somebody-told me as I was waiting for a train in Doncaster that Buddhist monks get up at three in the morning to meditate.
If that's the case, I'm a short fat Buddhist monk from Barnsley because while I was there the jet lag always slapped me awake at 3am and I stood looking out of the 28th floor of the President Hotel every morning at the busy streets of Seoul, which was as awake as I was and a lot noisier, meditating on this exhilarating country.
