Starting Saturday, you can expect to see hundreds of motorcyclists converge on the usually quiet Vasa Park in South Elgin.

The weekend biker party will be the first of two dozen scheduled for Vasa Park this summer under a controversial deal struck this week.

After months of rumblings from nearby residents, officials from the Vasa Park association and Elmwood Park-based Motorcycle Destinations finally signed a contract allowing the bikers to rent out the park for parties 24 days between this weekend and October.
