The Risk and Insurance Management Society and the U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration have signed a deal to work together promoting workplace health and safety.

According to New York-based RIMS, the alliance acknowledges the impact of using a cooperative approach among OSHA, management and labor.

John L. Henshaw, assistant secretary of labor for OSHA, signed the alliance agreement with David Mair in his last days as RIMS president. "We hit the ball out of the park this year [on ergonomic regulations]," Mr. Mair told National Underwriter at the RIMS annual ...
