BEIJING, April 26 Asia Pulse - The prices of rosin and turpentine oil in China are expected to rise this year after several years of decline, according to industrial experts.

Statistics show that the prices of rosin and turpentine oil began to fall in the second half of 1997. The price of rosin reached 4,000 yuan (US$483.67)/ton in 2001, down 41 per cent from 1997; and that of turpentine was 5,000 yuan, down 38 per cent.

The experts attributed the fall of the prices to excessive supply.
