MANY Asians will raise their eyebrows if informed that France today is a leading exponent in "greener agriculture" among European Union members.

France, after all, gave the world the Eiffel Tower, those exquisite wines and delectable cuisine and, of course, the legendary "French kiss."

So, what is this country doing in organic agriculture? Frenchmen are serious about protecting their health and taking care of their environment, that's why.
