Ecclesiastes 
 
   When the son dies, the father 
   walks out to the shed 
   and begins tearing out 
   sheetrock and 2x4s, 
   begins erasing the corridor 
   of names his boy gave to tools 
   like the grinder and jigger saw: 
   whirling fire, hushed rain. 
   And after so many gasps 
   of air his hands begin to move, 
   if for no other reason than to wipe 
   his glasses speckled 
   with mud, to pull a nail 
   from his mouth that's grown tired 
   of the briny, galvanized taste....
