A Carlsbad-based company is helping to bring a popular Japanese card craze to America.
The Upper Deck Co., which markets sports trading cards and other sports memorabilia, acquired exclusive rights to market and distribute the trading card game Yu-Gi-Oh! in North America. Cards went on sale March 1 nationwide.
