At 88, Anthony DeSantis works six days a week and has no desire to slow down.

"When you are my age, if you start staying home and playing golf, they lay you out on a slab - because that's the end of you," said DeSantis, who owns the Drury Lane Theater in Oakbrook Terrace.

DeSantis' commitment to Drury Lane has helped him establish a true alternative to Chicago for live theater fans in the suburbs. It's been a long road for DeSantis, who got into the theater business by chance.
