For a while, Quincy Watts' life was set as nicely as a Thanksgiving table. After winning two gold medals at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Watts had fame, fortune and friends at his fingertips. It was a sumptuous feast and Watts freely indulged.
His gnawing hunger quickly was sated but Watts didn't stop. People kept loading his plate with seconds and thirds and fourths, shoving appearance money and first-class plane tickets and lavish party invitations in front of his nose.
