Ismael Valdes, who nearly headed out of town two weeks ago in the Randy Johnson trade, headed into the seventh inning Wednesday night with a no-hitter.
Although he lost it on a two-out single by Matt Stairs, Valdes pitched the second two-hitter of his career in a 1-0 victory over the Oakland Athletics in front of 27,494 at Dodger Stadium.
