THE first cases of measles to hit Scotland in almost two years were confirmed last night, heightening fears of an epidemic.
Two children were diagnosed with the potentially deadly disease after health experts warned that falling uptake of the MMR triple vaccine made such outbreaks 'inevitable'.
The youngsters, both from Fife, are the first confirmed sufferers north of the Border since April 2000. An investigation is now under way...
