Cloned kitty "CC" captures interest of pet owners who want "Tabby" back.

Scientists at Texas A&M University, with funding by the Generic Savings & Clone, announced last week that they have successfully cloned the first domestic cat.

The research team, headed by Mark Westhusin of Texas A&M's veterinary medicine school, appropriately (depending on one's point of view) chose to introduce the 2-month old kitten dubbed "cc"- short for carbon copy - on February 14 which also happened to be Valentine's Day and National Donor Day in the US.
