Under pressure from animal rights activists, the city Animal Services Commission ordered the removal of coyote traps from homes in Woodland Hills and Northridge only a week after frightened residents were given the devices, officials said Friday.

``I got a written order to remove the traps,'' said Lt. Richard Felosky of the West Valley Animal Care and Control Center in Chatsworth.

``We pulled all the traps. The people who had the traps are outraged and they contacted their council members.
