The latest minor leaguer to be called up by the Colorado Rockies isn't a player at all, but a mascot.
Dinger, the purple dinosaur mascot of the Rockies, will have a new person inside the costume this year.
The new face you won't see is Jim Tennison, who has played Muddy the past three seasons for the Carolina Mudcats, the Rockies' AA affiliate in Zebulon, N.C., said a Mudcats spokeswoman.
