ANAHEIM - It didn't take the Mighty Ducks long to begin tackling the aftermath of a dismal season that included the team finishing with the fewest victories in franchise history.

About 15 hours after closing out the season with a flat 4-1 home loss to the San Jose Sharks, the Ducks on Monday fired head coach Guy Charron. No successor was named, and Charron remains under contract.
