In `A Beautiful Mind,'' there's a dramatic campus scene in which Princeton graduate students surround a game board while two of them engage in intense play.
Board games were huge in the 1940s, especially among mathematicians, and the Princeton scene could very well have been an exchange from a round of Hex, a 1940s thinking/strategy game invented by math genius John Forbes Nash.
``A Beautiful Mind,''nominated for eight Academy Awards, is based on Nash's life....
