CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 22 -- At the Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders held here today, Ware F. Schiefer, Chief Executive Officer of Piedmont Natural Gas , announced that Malcolm (Mac) E. Everett III has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Everett is the Director of Corporate and Community Affairs for the Wachovia Corporation.
