ABIX via COMTEX) -- The public are being invited to attend a series of workshops to discuss proposed plans for the redevelopment of the Woden Town Centre. Woden, a satellite city of Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), has had its town centre criticised largely do to the lack of a "town square" and parking and public transport problems. After the workshops take place, the ACT Department of Planning and Land Management will draw up draft plans which are scheduled to be presented to the ACT Government by October 2002.
