THE Archbishop of Wales attacked the arms trade yesterday - just hours after it was revealed he had been arrested protesting on an American airbase.
The Most Rev Rowan Williams, who is one of the favourites to succeed Dr George Carey as Archbishop of Canterbury, admitted he was part of a group which entered the Alconbury base in Cambridgeshire in the 1980s.
