Let me see if I have this straight. The sheriff of Cayuga County allegedly embezzled $4,000 from a drug-enforcement fund, and the legislators in the county are demanding answers and issuing ultimatums.

This is the same legislature where many members were elected with a conservative label, who approved spending $12 million in taxpayer money on a jail addition, based on an alleged verbal agreement with the U.S. Marshals Service to board federal prisoners in ...
