Battle Lines Drawn over Autos' Seven-Slot Grille in South Bend, Ind.

Feb. 3--SOUTH BEND, Ind.--The upstart Hummer H2 is slated to do battle with the popular Jeep line in federal court in South Bend this week, just months before the two are to go head-to-head in dealers' showrooms.
At issue in a lawsuit brought by Jeep owner DaimlerChrysler Corp. against AM General Corp. and partner, General Motors Corp., is the seven-slot grille which is used on both the Jeep and H2.
