Despite a fourth-quarter production slowdown, western European automakers increased output 1.5 percent to 14.99 million passenger cars last year.
The gain was 220,000 units, based on estimates from J.D. Power-LMC that are subject to refinement as actual data arrives from the 17 countries included in the total (see below).
