A Japanese man has been detained at Manila's international airport in the Philippines after security personnel discovered USD500bn worth of suspected fake US treasury bonds, bank certificates and gold coins in his suitcase.

The man, aged 40, allegedly tried to board a flight bound for Tokyo, Japan with a small case marked 'Federal Reserve, United States of America'. Airport personnel become suspicious when the man refused to have the case inspected. It ...
