Aviation analysts have described the emergency landing performed by the pilot of an Indonesian Garuda Airlines aircraft on 16 January as "miraculous".
The pilot's skill and coolness under pressure have been hailed after he safely landed the Boeing 737 aircraft - carrying 54 passengers and six crew members - in Surakarta's Bengawan Solo River in Klaten regency, Central Java province.
