University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Establishes Immunology Department.

2002 JAN 30 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine has announced the formation of a new department of immunology for more than 30 of its faculty members currently working in various departments on research projects in immunology as well as to teach and train students and fellows.

Recently, there has been a movement to establish independent immunology departments, divisions and programs to streamline research activities and strengthen training programs.
