DOW CHEMICAL SAYS IT IS CONSIDERING building a propylene oxide (PO) and polyols complex in China. The company will decide on the project by the end of 2003, says David B. Fischer, Dow v.p./polyurethanes (PU). The planned complex should have capacities for about 250,000 m.t./year of PO and 165,000 m.t./year of polyols, says Fischer. It would be Dow's first PO manufacturing site in Asia.
