The Bordeaux days can be days of wine and roses, or then again, rain and disappointing wines. For 1989, if you believe the advance reports in early September, particularly one incredible headline in the English Daily Telegraph which called 89 "the vintage of the century" (what, again?) nothing but superb wines will come forth from the Medoc.
