Swift Still Betting on Global Crossing.(Brief Article)

Eleven months ago, Swift entered into a major agreement to outsource its private network to Global Crossing, and become a partner with Global Crossing to co-develop and co-manage Swift's new IP network, SwiftNet. The plan was that SwiftNet would replace Swift's x.25 store-and-forward network, which is taking place as Swift retires the text-centric ISO 7775 messages from its network, replacing them with the tag-based 15022 standard. All of which would leave Swift free to concentrate on messaging.
