Malayan Railway (KTM), although still state owned, has been managed by Marak Unggul since 1997. The leading partner in Marak Unggul, the Renong Group, has submitted a plan to the government to restructure the railway. In the meantime, Marak Unggul is trying to improve KTM's financial performance.
